Ready for Easter

I was bummed to take down my St. Patty's Day stuff but excited to put up the Easter decor I've been working on. I finally finished my Easter plaque for my front door post the day before my mom came to visit. I kinda rushed through it and I wish I would have done a few things differently with the plaque (I wish I would have done it in blue) but there is always next year! I'm going to start a spring plaque maybe next week. I also went to another amazing craft night hosted by a very creative friend and made the chick plaque that is in my collage pictured above. She had SO many cute things to make and I so wish I would have done more. I'm looking forward to the next craft night!

Opening Day!

Opening Day was last weekend and it was such a blast! Brooke did so well, I was so proud of her! She did great as did her team. Brooke entered an essay contest for Opening Day and my sweet girl won for her division. Here is her essay. "What I love most about playing softball is that I have met and made a lot of nice new friends and that playing softball is so much fun. My favorite thing to do is to cheer my team mates on when they are up to bat. I also have a very nice coach. Her name is coach Val. She teaches me to be a better softball player. I love going to practice because she makes it so much fun."....I'm such a proud mama!!! She won a two gift cards as well as free lunch for an entire month at California Pizza Kitchen.

Oma's Visit

Oma came to visit with us for an entire week and what a fun exciting week it was! We did a ton of crafting and visiting. It was so much fun. I took my mom to Easter Pageant too. It was her first time (my third) and it was amazing! She LOVED it and it was so nice to go, just the two of us, and enjoy it. Easter Pageant really is amazing and something I look forward to every year since we moved to Arizona. My poor little Brody got so sick this past week and gave me quite a scare. Thankfully he was over whatever crazy virus he had very quickly and I'm so glad my mom was here to help re-assure me everything was going to be okay. I 'm so beyond blessed to be apart of such a wonderful ward and to have made such amazing friends that dropped off treats unexpectedly, dinner and other treatments to help bring down and control his crazy fever. The kindness shown and thoughtfulness really helped tremendously to calm me and it helped me to feel positive that everything was going to be okay. Thank you!! Brooke also had her first scrimmage and game while Oma was here. We really had such a fun week. Thank you Oma for visiting and thank you Opa for letting us have her for a whole week!

Easter Craft

I finally got around to finishing my Easter plaque today while Brody was napping. I LOVE how it turned out. I kinda wished I would have done it in blue but I still love it! I'm thinking maybe I'll do my plaque for my front door post in blue. Hopefully I'll get around to finishing it soon!

Adventures at the Dentist....

Really he's not reading....he's plotting a way to touch that fish. Love him.

More Crafts

Yesterday, while Brody was napping Brooke and I headed out to the garage to craft. She had been begging to paint the car, she put together from Lowes, since Saturday. She told me "Mom it's going to be green with purple wheels..how do you spell purple? I'm writing it in my diary." Yep, my sweet girl has recently started a sweet little diary. She keeps it inside her nightstand. It's so sweet and she writes in it everyday periodically throughout the day. While she was painting her car I made four sets of these super cute Easter blocks. I'm also working on a Easter plaque I'm hoping to finish off tomorrow. After that I plan on starting a spring plaque for my post by my front door.

Crafts!

I'm having such fun with my cameo!!! This weekend was rainy and overcast, perfect for staying indoors and crafting. This weekend I made these super cute St. Patrick's Day blocks, practiced some etching, played around with vinyl and a project for a loved one that I won"t post until they open it. I also had planned on making an Easter plaque and I'm about 1/2 way done with it and I started Easter blocks too. I have a ton of laundry to do tomorrow and my weekly meal planning, Costco/grocery store trip so hopefully I can get my chores done quickly so I can get back to the fun stuff!

Surprise!!

UPS dropped off a surprise for me today. I totally cried when I opened it up. I seriously have THE BEST husband ever! Bryan bought me a silhouette cameo. I have been wanting one SO badly but I held off because they are so expensive and it really wasn't a "need" more of a "I really really really want" type of purchase. I'm so very excited to start expanding my crafting fun. I don't think Bryan ever checks my blog but if you are reading this Bryan, thank you!!!! I love you SO much!!!!
